Transforming Trade Finance with Silent Data: Tokenisation, Privacy & Real-World Blockchain Integration

We’re excited to share our demo and presentation from the RLN Hackathon, where we showcased a working proof-of-concept using Silent Data [Oracle] and Silent Data [Rollup] to solve real-world challenges in digitised trade finance.

In just 48 hours, the Applied Blockchain team built a secure, privacy-preserving trade finance application that:

• Extracted a Bill of Exchange from WaveBL’s Web2 API using Silent Data [Oracle], with no code changes and complete cryptographic integrity.
• Deployed a ZK Rollup using Polygon CDK to create a fully EVM-compatible blockchain with programmable data privacy through Silent Data [Rollup].
• Enabled composable proofs for KYC/AML compliance, and interaction with RLN’s Web2 “lock & release” API, bridging traditional finance infrastructure with modern blockchain solutions.

This was the first-ever integration of Silent Data [Oracle] and [Rollup] in a live demo, delivering:

• Tokenisation of trade finance documents
• Privacy-first compliance for financial institutions
• Secure interoperability across Web2 and Web3
